SNES Netplay Thread

Anyone up for some netplay with ZSNES 1.42?

Fire up Super Mario Kart or whatever...

Maybe we can get something going here.

Hells yeah!

SMK is the only game that I can think of, off the top of my head, that would be awesome in netplay.

1. The two people that play have to have the same exact rom file, and file name.
2. Both need to be on windows/linux(because Mac SNES emu is lacking netplay functionality.) Running ZSNES 1.36-1.42 because none of the newer versions support netplay.
3. Both need to have a basic understanding of emulators.
4. And both need a UDP server friendly router(which should be mostly everything.)

If we can figure out how to make this easy, and get it going LMAO. ALL of the netplay code on emulation is close to 6 years old!!!

Apparently Hamachi VPN'ing seems to be the easiest route for netplaying emulated games.

If we get some NBA Jam going I will have to start looking for emulators again. Since I have the real thing, I haven't bothered in a long time to put emulators on my computer.

NBA jam is anther good one. From what I read though, fighting games through netplay are terrible.

So we got DK Country, NBA Jam(TE), SMK, as main suggestions from here and the chatbox.

Way to even get the best version of it Crystallas. My two other suggestions would be Tecmo Super Bowl, Ken Griffey Baseball, and NHL 94. I wasted many a day of college playing those games.
