Facebook is a great way to recruit new members. I've recruited a couple very solid posters recently and I think this is a great way to advertise our site. Most of us have facebooks that we could use so it's a good way.

The Official Facebook Pages of the Chicago teams get a lot of comments posted. It's best to message people who you believe would be good posters. It's easy to tell who knows what they are talking about and who is a casual fan. You can send around 5-7 messages until Facebook asks you to stop for abusive behavior by sending URL's in a message to non-friends. I've had my messages blocked 10 times or so this week lol. It blocks them for about an hour and then you can send more.

Bump I just sent out as many of these as I could before facebook warned me to stop. Then if you wait a day you can send another 10 out. I send them to random people I see who post on the fan pages and sometimes it works. This is the only way im recruiting from now on, I hope it works!

Worked for me! Have you guys ever tried NFL.com or ESPN? I've been commenting on NFL.com for about a month and there are a lot of morons on there but there are also some very knowledgeable people too. Lots of Bear fans. You can send them messages or post a message in the on going discussion about the game which started on Monday and is very active while it's being played. You just have to deal with Eagles fans.
