My favorite teams
John Wall shot 3/42 from the 3pt line this season. That's a 7.1%!
John Wall had the most turnovers this season (255/66), ahead of Kevin Durant (248/66) and Russel Westbrook (239/66).
Blake Griffin blocked 48 shots, but got his own shots blocked 56 times.
Blake Griffin finished with a league best 60 and-ones (66), ahead of Dwight Howard (58/54), LeBron James (52/62) and John Wall (49/66). Dwyane Wade dropped from 1.07 and-ones per game in ’10-11 to 0.45 this season.
Kevin Durant finished strong 8th in DRPG (7.4), but wasn't able to crash the offensive glass at all, finishing 262nd (0.6).
Kevin Durant (2546/66) played for 3 1/2 more hours than Russel Westbrook (2331/66) and LeBron James (2328/62).
DeMarcus Cousins finished the season 1st in drawing charges (50/64). That's more than the four best Bulls players together: C.J. Watson (16/49), Luol Deng (10/54), Omer Asik (9/66), Ronnie Brewer (9/66).
DeMarcus Cousins (257/64), Blake Griffin (216/66) and Paul Millsap (216/63) lead the league in personal fouls.
Serge Ibaka blocked more shots (241/66) than Andrew Bynum (116/60) and Dwight Howard (116/54) together. The second on the list is DeAndre Jordan, with 134/66 blocks.
LeBron James dished out more assists (387/62) than Russel Westbrook (362/66), grabbed more rebounds (492/62) than JaVale McGee (477/61), blocked more shots (50/62) than Chris Bosh (45/57), finished 4th in the league in steals (115), 1st in +/- (+474), 1st in efficiency (29.9) and 1st in PER (31) 4 points ahead of the runner-up (Chris Paul).
LeBron James leads his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals (totals and per game).
Orlando shot 670 threes this seasons. That’s more than Boston (363) and Memphis (277) together. Last on the list are Charlotte (263) and New Orleans (259).
The Bulls finished 1st in the league with 5819 points (88.17) allowed, while the Kings allowed over a thousand points more (30th, 6893 points, 104.44) Somehow, the Nuggets made the playoffs while having the second worst defense in points allowed (29th, 6682 points, 101.24). (Like pointed out in the comments, you have to take into account the pace to compare the quality of defenses.)
The Nuggets finished 1439 times at the rim (1st), the Heat 1089 times (8th), OKC 1085 times (9th) and the Nets only 830 times (30th).
The Spurs finished as best shooting team (47.8%), more than six percentage points more then the worst team, the Bobcats (41.4%). Shooting isn’t everything: the Suns (6th, 45.8%) and the Warriors (7th, 45.7%) didn’t make the playoffs, while the Pacers (25th, 43.8%) did.
The Thunder finished with a 80.6% free throw percentage (1st), while the Magic finished last with 66%.
Kobe Bryant made $50’685 more salary this season ($25,244,493) then Kevin Durant ($15,506,632), Russel Westbrook ($5,082,416) and James Harden ($4,604,760) together.
The Knicks paid Jeremy Lin $1,489 per point, Carmelo Anthony $14,875 per point and Amar’e Stoudemire $22,136 per point (not taking into account any insurance compensations).

The Lakers spent twice as much as the Pacers in player wages ($87,865,859 vs. $43,773,036) and finished the season in the same position as them (in their respective conferences) and with one less win. Moneyball? (by cack-o-demon)
The Heat's total salaries: $382,126,881 ($77,261,861 in player wages). (by cack-o-demon)
James Harden scored 1,044 points of 629 shots, that's 1.66 pts per shot! That's better than LeBron James (1,683/1,169=1.44), Kevin Durant (1,850/1,297=1.43) or Kobe (1,616/1,336=1.21). Ray Allen nor Michael Jordan ever achieved over 1.5. (by YunderUp)
The 3 teams that made the playoffs, but were not in the top 16 in defensive rating (in points per 100 possessions), were the Denver Nuggets (#21), the LA Clippers and the Utah Jazz. Those teams, however, were numbers #3, #4, and #6 in offensive rating respectively. (by pcrackenhead)

The Sixers had an average win margin of +4.2 PPG and yet won only 35 games. The Lakers' average win margin was only +1.4 PPG, but they finished with 6 more wins than the Sixers. On the last game of the season Toronto started: Ben Uzoh (473k), Alan Anderson (77k), James Johnson (1.8m), Ed Davis (2.0m) and Jamaal Magloire (1.3m). That's a combined salary of 5.65m meaning these guys could be hired over 10 times each and the team would still be under the salary cap. Ben Uzoh would go on to record the first triple double in 10 years by a Toronto Raptor. (by thisisme5)
Steve Nash ended the season with a 33-33 record despite being the only player on his team. (by irishiwas)
