Just thought this was interesting....

I live in a town of roughly 25,000 people in the middle of Iowa, with no NBA teams closer than Chicago or Minnesota. The poll question in the sports section of the local newspaper asks "Will you watch the LeBron James press conference tonight?"

So far it's 23% Yes, 77% No

I wonder if this thing really means as much to the average American as James and ESPN thinks it does.

My dad works with a bunch of what I would consider average people. He has conference calls everyday and he says more more people every day are complaining about this LeBron crap and they are so sick of hearing about it, they will be glad when its over. And because of LeBron they stay away from the news as much as possible, and avoid ESPN at all costs.

By last night I had finally had it for good with checking out "sources" to see what he's going to do. I've almost become numb to the whole thing, like I don't care anymore - too much stimulation. I'll just watch the news tonight.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
If that's true, 23% of neutral viewers watching 1 channel is still quite a bit. There's what, 400 legit TV stations to choose from?

I never, ever thought I'd say this, but this is actually worse than the ongoing Favre retirement drama(s). This is now officially the apocalypse.

Was just in Iowa for 5 days..

I don't equate many there to being in reality.
