Can the Orlando Magic make a play for Chicago's Carlos Boozer? - Orlando Orlando Magic | Examiner.com

Sorry if this was already posted. As you can see, its from June. It's old. But this is what I thought was interesting:

“(I)f he does become available, the Orlando Magic will certainly express some level of interest,” Kennedy wrote. “In the past, Dwight Howard has made it very clear to Otis Smith that he wants to play with Boozer and it's no secret that the two are best friends. They even stay at each other's houses during the offseason. With the Magic trying to do anything they can to keep Howard happy, they would have to make a play for Boozer should he become available.”

So, if that's the case, why is Chicago not on Howard's list of teams?

He does not want Chicago plain and simple. I love Vegas. Not going to live there though

Whaaaatttt? :bizarro:

Yeah, Dwight...make it a multi-team deal to where the Bulls don't get left with garbage players & maybe GarPax would bite.

Unless that would randomly make him change his mind to come to the Bulls (which I doubt)....nothing unknown here. Interesting, but nothing new.

Weird thats the first I have heard about them being friends!

Boozer for Anderson and Reddick??! **** let Dwight run the team like Lebron did in Cleveland everyone knows he was the one behind the Baby/Bass trade! Sounds good to me!

I dunno how contracts would work in the situation for any of their players.
(maybe i'll check out the trade machine)

Trade machines down or else I would have done that lol but Boozer makes more than Anderson and Reddick but I think Orlando has a couple of exprinings or we could bring in a 3rd team..

Either way I think the reporter is reaching

That statement is about a year old, and it doesn't mean much...

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Oakland Raiders
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I saw this story at the time. I also heard at the time that it wasn't going to happen because the Bulls weren't going to get rid of Boozer if they weren't getting howard, and also the Magic weren't sure about taking on Boozer's contract after making a mistake with Rashard Lewis and Gilbert Arenas.

The chances of this happening now are probably even lower since Boozer isnt playing up to his contract
