It happened last year with Noah. They gave him the good to go with the plantar fascitis because they knew he was tough, it got worse and then he missed a bunch of games and we lost a ridiculous amount of games without him.

Here we go again, 2010 Noah injures his thumb Nov.27th, Almost 3 weeks later he's still playing with torn ligaments in his thumb. They thought it wasnt bad because he can play through the pain. Now he'll be out up to 10 weeks. I dont know if things worsened over the past few weeks but it surely didnt help him.

Maybe im being over dramatic but i think its reckless to play injured players with injuries that need rest now.

Torn ligaments don't get worse through playing, nor do they heal with rest.

The medical staff is doing their job. It's the conditioning coaches. I said it last year, and I'll say it again this year. The Bulls have a world class medical staff, access to some of the best therapists in the world locally. They should not get the guff, and I'm 100% sure the executives that are truly responsible, are the ones who would love for us to believe it's the fault of ANYONE but them not to be conservative with million dollar investments.

I guess i can buy into that, we'll never know. But i dont see how its the conditioning coaches. They have nothing to do with a guy tearing a ligament and giving him the good to play.

I don't blame anyone on the Bulls, a few years ago, Deng sought independent medical counsel after hearing the Bulls' prognosis. Turns out he was right, as far as he was concerned, to listen to independent doctors who said he shouldn't play. I believe Noah insisted on playing, with a chance that the pain would subside. It didn't. They have done the same with Korver, who also had an option for surgery. He has gotten better physically since then, at least it seems.

It really isn't the end of the world....

I agree. On top of that, you can always find a Doctor that tells you what you want to hear.

Because they are the ones monitoring the problem, as part of each individual players specified training and physical monitoring. Team doctors diagnose and treat known problems. S&C are the only ones, other than the player himself, who can catch problems before they become serious. Measuring flexibility, motion and strength. Not, sit and see how you do tomorrow.

The problem is Noah's been saying it's fine. Usually if it's a ligament injury you can't play at all. I don't really blame them for not realising how serious it was for a while.
