Wedge has to be the most overrated manager of the 2000's.

calm down boys...Wedge was promised an interview a while back...he got it...no biggie. Freddi Gonzalez was promised one, too...just kickin' the tires on the older cars...chill out for a while, Quade is unbeatable.

Waldo, chillax dude. The season's not over, and we've got a blue-million guys to interview. Right now, Wedge is probably the leading candidate........he's the only one that's been i'viewed.

Bobby Valentine will probably be interviewed, passed over, and he'll return to being a terrible analyst on Baseball Tonight

A lot of people will be interviewed I am sure, as well as Brenley.

But its going to come down to two people.

If Girardi accepts its his, if he doesn't its Sandberg's.

I think its the other way. I think its Sandberg's and then if that falls through, then Girardi. On the surface it looks like Girardi is more credentialed and he might be. But then again, maybe not. Its not like the Cubs have Rodriguez, Teixiera and all those guys. And if Ricketts wants to go young, Sanberg makes a lot of sense. He has done a good job in the minors and knows the players.

Plus he might bring a few more people out to Wrigley. It got pretty ugly this year with attendance.

I like Bobby V and wouldnt mind if he was the next manager. I liked the way his Mets teams of the late 90s played. With the steriod testing and the power numbers dropping, that might be even more useful now. I really liked their defensive infield and their speed in the outfield.
