I think the Rios one was a small rumor that never really took off. The focal point on messageboards was AJ and thats why it became so viral.

Not saying this is true or not, but didn't we learn from the Melky Cabrera situation that teams aren't informed until after the appeal?

im not 100% sure on how it works. I would be surprised if the player gets to appeal without the club knowing....if thats the rule than thats crazy.

If the white sox contacted MLB and they say AJ is clean I may believe that for the simple fact that JR and Selig sleep in bunk beds and do activities together in their rooms.

I'm assuming it is true that the team isn't informed, or the Sox wouldn't have needed to reach out to MLB, whether rumors are true or untrue.

I'm pretty sure that teams aren't informed because that was the whole deal about the Giants dealing for Pence and then Cabrera being suspended. To absolve the Giants it was claimed that teams aren't informed until after appeals. But whatever you guys had to expect rumors to pop up with the crazy increase in power this year.
