Twitter / Michael Cunningham: Source says Hawks to offer ... (Atlanta Journal Constitution)

So, if Joe Johnson stays true to his word, that he wants to stay in Atlanta, it sounds like Joe Johnson will be off the market. I would think this would hurt the new rumor of the day, Johnson and LeBosh to the Knicks. It is the Knicks goal to get Johnson signed early to make the Knicks a more attractive destination for LeBosh to sign with the Knicks.

Just my thoughts, I still believe LeBosh are headed to the Bulls...Rose+LBJ+Bosh+Noah has to be better/more likely than that combo the Knicks/Heat are trying to pull out of their as$

i see him signing with them if they give him a max. if he does stay, bad decision by JJ.

Depends what his priorities are..If he even cares remotely about winning a title he'll leave Atlanta..but if he just wants more money and a secured 6 year deal...He'll sign with Atlanta.

I was just watching NBA TV....they didn't say a lot but you can tell their opinions are that he should leave anyway..but that the 6yr deal is nice. They all thought ATL isn't a 53 game winning team w/o him....they're a 38 or less. Duh!

I like JJ, but I think the Hawks would be pretty dumb to max him. Atlanta's attendance isn't improving that much with a playoff team, so I wonder how Belkin and the rest of the owners plan on winning over fans, when they already have Jamal Crawford to play SG.

09-10 Attendance :woot::bulls: and Atl = :turrible:

The Bobcats are the only playoff team with less attendance, and that's understandable as the fanbase is still very young.
