I wish he'd waive his NTC. He'd bring back some nice prospects in a year that 3rd baseman have been awful at the plate

If Aramis stays:

1. They buy him out and let him go. (maybe with arb so they can get the Type A/B comp pick back)

2. They buy him out and ask him to sign a lesser deal.

3. They just pick up the option and hope for the best.

If Aramis goes:

1. It'd likely be much closer to the trade deadline due to leverage.

2. Or he will be traded at the waiver deadline (8/31) so he can just play somewhere for a month rather than two months and it'd be easier for his family, similar to what happened with Derrek Lee.

3. Don't expect too much more than salary relief at that point.

Just my thoughts.

A-Ram still does not want to be traded but...(kinda breaking news) says he wants option to be dropped if traded. His agent said, more teams will now be interested.

Could be good...

Actually, Ramirez's agent suggests Ramirez will accept a trade.

That's good news. It'd be hilarious if his numbers began to slip after being traded to a contender since he's been accused of not playing well with a team that's in contention.

I would be wary of Mike Trout in all honesty. I think he will likely be a very good player, but there are some red flags in his production. He was coming from an extreme sluggers league which maybe the main reason for the huge jump in power. Being the AL West will likely make it difficult for him to be a 20 HR guy in all honesty.

That said, I agree that I don't think the Angels woudl trade Mike Trout unless Castro was coming back in the deal.
