How soon does everyone think he will be inserted into the rotation?

Very solid pick. DOn't be surprised if they do a similar thing with him that they did with Sale as in bringing him in as a reliever pretty quickly. Have
Cooper work with him like he did with Sale.

if danks pitches well he will get dealt or they will have 4 lefties in the rotation and danks would be your 5th starter which wouldn't be bad at all.

Sale
#2 RH
Quintana
Rodon
Danks

To start and than he will slowly move up the depth chart. probably 3 due to breaking him and sale up with a righty

does it matter if the rotation is filled with lefties. Id rather have more lefties with a 5th starter being danks than a righty 5th starter like axelface

What works is what matters

than I guess you move danks and put in a guy like paulino in the 5th spot....we all know how that will work.

If your rotation is lefty 4/5 starters but if 3 of the 4 are dominant and you have a number 2 who is a righty im sure you can get thru a season pretty damn nicely.

would you object to an all chris sale esque rotation because they are all lefties? I highly doubt you would.

when it comes to the playoffs it really doesn't matter because it would be

Sale

Quintana/rodon as your 3

so your worry is unwarranted.

Seeing the same pitcher type in a row traditionally makes them easier to hit but you knew that.

Its not a worry. Just a statement/question if viability. There's a reason its not done which is why I asked who gets traded if Rodon gets fast tracked.

And the three man playoff rotation is ultra rare my friend

It's not easy to pick up the ball with the sun/shadow. Never seen this view before with that condition. New respect for how hard that is.

The Sox are in a very special place right now. Rodon never should have dropped that far....never. The fact that he could actually help them in the pen this year is cause for excitement. A team with two left handed pitchers who could both be number one guys is astounding. Don Cooper? Come on, son. The guys slider is better then 90% of MLB. You dont think Cooper is rubbing his hands together waiting for this guy to fast track to the bigs?

Two teams are gonna look like fools in a couple years.
