Cubs, Sox among most interested in Concepcion

The Cubs and White Sox have both expressed strong interest in signing Cuban left-hander Gerardo Concepcion, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com. According to Concepcion's agent, Jaime Torres, the Rangers and Yankees have also expressed their interest in signing the 18-year-old.

Unlike fellow Cuban defectors Yoenis Cespedes and Jorge Soler, Concepcion has established residency outside of Cuba and is a free agent. Torres expects his client to sign within two weeks.

In 21 games during Cuba's 2010-2011 season, Concepcion posted a 3.36 ERA.
