COACHING CAREER: Is in his 25th season in the White Sox organization and his 10th full season as pitching coach ... agreed to terms on a multiyear contract extension on 9/27/11 ... was named pitching coach on 7/22/02 after serving as the organization's Minor League pitching coordinator from 1997-2002 ... since his appointment, the White Sox have gone 800-721 (.526) and posted a 4.27 era (6,437 er/13,579.0 ip) ... under his direction, the Sox lead the Major Leagues with 794 quality starts since 2003.
