Well it seems clear that the rotation is pretty much set with Danks presumably coming back. Sale, Danks, Peavy, Floyd and Quintana (probably off on spelling) looks to be the 2013 rotation. Wonder if they will start the year with a real young bullpen again.

If he isn't worth what he is making why would a team trade an impact bat at 3B which is one of the hardest positions in baseball right now to find an impact bat at?

IMO he would be a great matchup against other 4/5 pitchers in the AL but is he worth the $9.5M we are paying him? He can probably be a little cheaper.

Not a surprise with Youk and Myers... Hopefully, they picked up Floyd so that he is more attractive for a trade.

We tend to really focus on his bad outings.

the market for SP is crazy. 9.5 million is nothing now a days for avg to above avg starters. I want him gone, but the 9.5 mil isnt bad at all.

As far as comments on johnson....we would have to put down the sentimental aspect of MB as johnson would be a better pitcher for us. if it is up to hahn he isnt like us fans...than again the PR move it would be.

Johnson is the better pitcher. The only Buerhle gives over Johnson is the fact that he has stayed healthy consistently. On the other hand the price tag for Johnson in trade is going to be very high. Whereas if you took that ridiculously backloaded contract off the Marlins hand you could get Buerhle for hot garbage.

Never once used WAR for Floyd, but his ERA+ is solid for a #4/5. If Floyd if your #5, you're in good shape.

Never once used WAR for Floyd, but his ERA+ is solid for a #4/5. If Floyd if your #5, you're in good shape.
