•The White Sox seem to be looking to 2012 as a rebuilding year, writes MLB.com's Scott Merkin. After a year of seeing how young players develop in the Majors and seeing how rookie manager Robin Ventura adapts to the job, Merkin says Chicago could push for contention in 2013 if all goes well.
•With this youth movement in mind, Merkin thinks A.J. Pierzynski and Paul Konerko could be approached about waiving their no-trade clauses. Both players were somewhat open to the idea, though both clearly stated they wanted to end their careers with the White Sox.

again, **** the sox

I've said it numerous times, Chicago should NEVER have to rebuild. 3rd-largest market in the US shouldn't even have that word in their vocabulary.

I dont think so because on paper this team can be special. I think they have a big 2012.

Agreed. I don't really think they need to rebuild. With the roster I listed, the Sox owe $100.73MM to 21 guys. I think we'll be okay. Like I said we just have to let Buehrle walk, unless he's willing to take a paycut, let Pierre and Vizquel walk. Trade away Quentin (due for a BIG payday) and hope they don't have to pay the arb eligible guys that much.

The only problem last year was that almost everyone had an off year all in the same year which is horrible luck. What we need to do is find a good hitting coach for Dunn, play the young guys over struggling starters to show them that they aren't guaranteed the spot (rios), and Gordon beckham needs to get his act together

when konerkos name is being tossed around in rumors, you have to think they may just move dunn to 1b and get a cheap dh. this team smells like ass.

"All In" WTF was that shit? So you weren't "All In" before 2011 or you just decided to spend money for a year? GTFOH making declarations of what your intentions are in a given season, Marketing Fail, since we didnt do shit but stink it up. Great job to put unneeded pressure on the guys. I dont expect them to declare when they're in a rebuilding year so I dont wanna hear all this "All In" BS. The goal every year is to make it to the WS, especially in Chicago, no need to talk about it.
