I'm not big on racing games as I never was into cars. But this game is pretty sweet and I'm actually getting into it.

A lot of action and you don't have to be a great driver since it's not a sim like Forza (which is good for me). Anyone picking this game up or playing the demo?

i saw the trailer for it on TV today. Looked pretty good. I too haven't been into racing games, except for NFS:Underground, Nascar '98, Diddy Kong Racing and the Mario Karts. I just can't get into the real car racing games. the game Blur does interest me a bit though.

Mario Kart is about my experience. I really got into NASCAR 05 for Xbox, that was a fun game. It was the first one with online racing so that was new.

Split/Second has these ways of taking out other cars called "power plays" and that my favorite part. You have a meter that fills up then you can activate it. But it has to be timed with the environment. For example, there a construction zone course and one of the things that can be activated is a big crane that just swoops down and takes cars out. It's pretty cool. When you take a car out it goes into slow motion and shows the wreck. But you can wreck yourself too, so you have to time it right. Not a bad game.
