Kimbrel historically is a slow starter if I remember correctly. It will take time for him to feel in the grove..

and Kimbrel just got traded to the dodgers.

After today it would be hard for David to keep Thompson out of the rotation.

So looking at it this way you really need to let Steel and Thompson continue to grow as starters. Hendricks is going to get a pass due to his track record. Mills not so much.

That is my take and adding 2 velocity pitchers is a plus.

Ya know I would rather have Frazier >>>>Heyward.

CF is fine with a platoon until Davis promoted.

Hayward has no business starting anything anymore. The whole 'he is a pro' and the rest of the blowdoll excuses need to go away.

Actually Jed would be smart to pushbutton Davis and trashcan Heyward.

New rules state a team can get a extra pick if a prospect gets into award ballots.

Then add in the top pick is lotto. Ya he can play the game this year for picks then work on locking them up.

Cubs will have 28 and roster moves in Apr don't count against the total options before being exposed to wavers.

Apr should end up very confusing roster wise.

At Colorado. Most likely Hendricks on normal rest.

Starting with Colorado the team goes on a 13 day run. That is when you would expect a 5th starter added and more piggyback on those dates.

I don't see a 6 man being a thing. I see piggyback as the answer to keep innings down.
