Though no official release date for SSX Deadly Descents has been determined, much yet announced, EA Sports has now stated on the game’s Facebook page that it will be arriving “next winter”. Currently retailers have date placeholders in for the game with Amazon listing it as 2/1/12 and Gamestop 1/3/12. That provides a decent idea of the time frame even though they are just in the system for the purpose of holding pre-orders.

Games generally release pre-Black Friday and those that don’t avoid the period from late November to mid-January. So it looks like Q4 (early 2012) is the target right now but this far out it remains of course subject to change. SSX Deadly Descents was officially announced last month and will deliver real-world landscapes in the form of every major mountain range with intense circumstances to face and is rumored to incorporate a right analog stick heavy control scheme.

Tricky was fun. Then they came out with SSX3 and made it more real....it sucked. I'm interested how this one will be.
