Guess Brett Jackson is getting extra instruction on how not to strike out.

Cubs' home record is 36-39. With six games left, they must win 5 to guarantee a winning home record. Methinks that will not happen.

Cubs' overall record is 58-92. With 12 games left, they must win five to avoid 100 losses. That might happen since they still have one more series against Colorado and one more against the Astros. Yay for avoiding 100 losses, boo for potentially losing out on the #2 pick.

Josh Vitters is pinch-hitting for All-Star Bryan LaHair.

How the mighty have fallen.

That'll work. Cubs win! And now Cubs in danger of losing the #2 pick. Ah, mixed emotions.

The Cubs will have to win the series against the Cards and sweep the Astros (or the other way around) in order to finish with a winning home record. Those are also the wins they'll need to avoid 100 losses, though some can obviously come on the road.

Gotta win 4 of 11 to avoid 100 losses. If they can steal 1 from the Rockies and another from the Cards, taking 2 of 3 from Houston at home shouldn't be too hard. But then again, I forgot what team I was talking about.
