He gets called a Homer but he work FOR THE BULLS, Played For The Bulls and Won Championships With The Bulls...HE IS SUPPOSE TO BE A HOMER!

But I think he is the Best Color Commentator in the NBA but unfortunately one of these Big Networks will probably come and steal him away from us like they stole Kevin Harlin from Minnesota lol

"Jimmy G. Buckets, The G Stands For GETS" love that one!

And once again, you fail to understand my viewpoint. These broadcasts are for CHICAGO BULLS FANS. Stacey King played for the Bulls, and is now broadcasting FOR THEM. He will not, and should not be 100% non-biased with every word, comment, opinion that comes out of his mouth just to appear objective. If he came across as fake, it wouldn't work. But he is genuinely as much a fan of the game and players as the people watching, so it works. 100% objectivity is not what consumers in Chicago, in Philadelphia, New York, Houston, Detroit, Baltimore, Los Angeles or Seattle want to hear.

And for the record, Steve Stone has no personality and is boring as shit on the air. Hawk is the exact opposite, which is why Sox fans love him. We could give a rat's wrinkled ass what the rest of the country thinks.

Because Stone doesn't yell and scream and doesn't have a mini stroke during a home run call...he is boring? He is one of the best at what he does in the country. And you'd be hard pressed to find anyone more knowledgeable of the game. Hawk doesn't know what's going on half the time, just like Red Kerr didn't. Marv Albert was NOT a homer...New York loved him. Vin Scully is NOT a homer, they love him in LA (Chick Hearn wasn't much either). Harry Callas was not a homer, Philly loved him...on and on and on...

But you have somehow swayed the topic, I don't know if that is because your level of expertise is limited on the subject or you are just rambling...or both. I didn't criticize King at all, I just said I would like to hear an objective point of view. I don't expect that to be welcomed on this forum. People on here deride Van Gundy for being biased against the Bulls but don't notice Steve Kerr's obvious bias for the Bulls. IN MY OPINION, I prefer objectivity and Stacey King does not give you that. Stacey is for the meatballs, Stone is for people who are students of the game. I'd rather learn from Stone then get yelled at by King.

Stacey King isn't close. On a national scale? Steve Kerr is good, Chris Webber is really good, and the best color commentator I have ever heard is Doug Collins. Another one that was really good when he was doing it, Doc Rivers. THAT is good color commentary.

Stacey King says stupid shit so it's hard for me to listen to him. Last year it was "Vlad Rad is a starter in this league and he's a luxury off the bench"...and I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he isn't even on a team right now...and then it was him comparing Taj to Hakeem Olajuwon which is a major insult to Hakeem. He says some pretty ridiculous things.

Damn, you're a genious. I didn't say anything about Stone's knowledge of the game. I said he has zero personality. He has a monotone voice and lacks emotion. Two hours of that on a television broadcast is simply unbearable. Guys like King and Hawk make broadcasts fun and interesting.

I grew up listening to Stone when I used to follow the Cubs in the 80s, so I know all about him. The difference now is he was happier back in those days... he's bitter now. That's what 20 years of Cubs baseball does to you.

In any event, trying to pass your opinions off as fact with no rationale to support it one way or another makes you stubborn and stupid all at the same time.

As far as YOU calling me stupid? Kiss my fat ass...

To the rest of the posters...this idiot made an argument where there was none. Stacey King is okay, I don't dislike him, I prefer to hear an unbiased opinion on the team. You are much more likely to get that from TNT or the guys from ESPN than you will from a Bulls broadcast. That is why I pointed out those particular networks as examples.

Now back to the nimrod...maybe you need someone yelling and screaming at you constantly because...YOU'RE STUPID??? I don't need that on a constant basis. Steve Stone sounds like the same guy to me...the only difference is he has not really gotten along with Hawk as he did with Harry. But if Hawk calling a play at times like he is on another planet, or Stacey yelling the same slogans over and over like he has Tourette Syndrome suits your fancy, have at it. I personally don't need to hear "HOT SAUCE!" every time a certain person hits a 3pt shot. That's me. I want to learn the game. You want to have fun. But you don't know shit about the game....at least not from what you post here.

I personally don't like Frazier. I think the best NBA commentator is Miller and Harlin. Not to mention Breen and Gundy. If King can get another guy with him he'll be there.

Doug Collins was great breaking down the game. Was sad to see him leave the booth to coach. I like Hubie Brown, another great one in my opinion. Steve Kerr is getting there.

As for team based announce teams, I will have to go with Phil Chanier and Steve Buckhantz for the wizards. They always call games down the middle. Phil Chanier has great insight as well.

Agreed. After hearing him commentate a game I always wonder why he never had success as a coach.

I guess it all depends on what you like, I like when the Commentator gets into the game and brings energy to the telecast, if you like a more "TRADITIONAL COMMENTATOR" Steve Kerr is great, Mike Fratello and Hubie Brown are still excellent at doing that and yeah Doug Collins is great at it as well

I like that Stacy King kinda have his own style and bring his own "SWAG" to the Telecast personally but I can understand if some find it annoying and too over the top.

I like Stacey King, but I would choose Hubie Brown or Doug Collins over King in a big game, such as the playoffs first round when they do dual broadcasts on national and local. But, most national commentators I can't stand.

You can be entertaining without being overly loud and obnoxious.
