SVG is trying to make a case for his guy, as he should.

If Dwight Howard is picked as the MVP over Derrick Rose, I will be upset. But not nearly as upset as I would be if LeBron James is picked over D-Rose.

he's really not that overrated. After the backlash, he goes from being overrated and underrated. People focus in on stats that tend to support their arguments for or against rose.

He's playing well and his team is playing well. Rose isn't really diminishing his team's ability to play well, and that i think that ought to be considered. As long as he's making 5 of those nine 3's a night, he's playing pretty well in my eyes. :) If i had an mvp vote, i'd vote for rose. After doing so, i'd write an explanation to james.

If james got the mvp, i wouldn't be pissed. I think if rose gets the mvp, heat fans shouldn't be pissed either.

On the other hand if the bulls keep blowing teams out, the league better shut up about rose/bulls/thibs being overrated.

If anyone should have it over Rose, its Howard. His impact on both ends is ridic. If he were a 1st or 2nd seeded team, he might win it. It also doesn't help that he's getting techd so often, which hurts a team.

Stan's right...the Media seems to have already picked rose. maybe instead of bitching about it and trying to drub up votes for his center for an individual award, he should focus more on the team and winning games down the stretch.

This.

The Bulls record and injuries to his top two players is the reason why he's in front of the race. Not to mention his big games on national TV when people are looking for him to fail (42 on the Spurs anyone?)

People need to quit crying about an award that hasn't been voted on yet

Howard is the best by far at his position, but the fact he has already reached 16 technical fouls on the year, and he won't listen to Van Gundy in Orlando, I find it near impossible that he and Thibodeau would get along.

There are a lot of young people on this forum. So far at least 2 of the people who don't want howard are 17-19 years old.

Right but one claims to have watched the NBA for 25 years, and doesn't think Noah for Howard improves the team....

But when I say that is just insidiously stupid thinking...I am pompous? What about that opinion being just really, really stupid!!! Good grief....

In a second, Dwights a finished product(except for the free throw shooting). Noah and a couple draft picks and future draft picks, yes. Dwight would be the anchor and Rose the sail. No one thinks we can get him in free agency? Dwights inside D, Thibs would love that.
