Also Coming to Lombard on 7/27

If you can't make it to Bolingbrook on 7/26 you have another chance on 7/27 - see below.

Stanley Cup coming to Lombard

Daily Herald - 4 hours ago

The Stanley Cup is coming to Lombard. Clint Reif, the assistant equipment manager for the Chicago Blackhawks and a Lombard resident, will get his day with the Cup on July 27. He'll be joined by Village President William Mueller to display the Cup from noon to 4 p.m. at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse, 70 Yorktown Shopping Center in the Westin hotel.

Wish they would bring the Cup more towards me, but heck, it's worth the drive.

Harry Caray's states nothing about photos with the Cup.

Does any one have info on this for that location?

I might... I don't want to drive the 11 miles if I have to stand in line for hours.

Stu.....It's THE CUP!

I would walk 100 miles up hill, both ways, with no shoes on broken glass to see The CUP!

The cup needs to make a trek out west here to the Quad Cities.

My wife just called - said she went with her friend to Haray Caray's in Lombard to see the cup today. The cops were there and said the event got out of hand - they had way too many people there so they were limiting everyone to 15 seconds a piece with the cup and then cut the line off. My wife said about 200 people still stayed in line past the cutoff point hoping they would take more people in. My wife gave up and took off. Just wait til the convention - the line there will be even worse.

I was there too.

They were cutting off the line at 800 people.

I was about 850, so I left.

There will be other opportunities-- plus my work is only 5 minutes away. No big loss.

I was going to take off work today and go down there with my wife and her friend but I'm glad I didn't. I don't like lines and waiting 4+ hours for my 15 seconds with the cup is not worth it to me. I agree there will be other opportunities and right now the hoopla is so strong that everyone and their dog wants a photo with the cup.
