No doubt.

Flush this awful Eberflus staff and you should see huge improvements across the board. Even the OL can be better, they just look lost most of the time and that is 110% coaching.

If McCaskey just wants to completely troll the Bears fanbase, leaving no doubt that is what he is doing, he allows Poles to fire Eberflus but insists they have to keep Morgan as the OL coach.

Williams will be great, he has the arm, the football intelligence, and the character, if this organization would get their heads out of their asses and bring in actual NFL caliber coaches instead of guys that they feel can get up in front of the media and speak nicely and intelligently, which is something that has blown up in their faces as much as the mommie is mad charade.

Long way to go. I remember many dudes who came out of the gate hot and flamed out. Vince Young actually really good his rookie year. RG3, Deshaun Watson. And I remember lots of guys who took their took their lumps early and turned it around.

They've all shown nice flashes and also looked very bad. Caleb has had some brilliant moments but also has been really bad for long stretches. It's to be expected, especially with how poorly organized they have looked and how much pressure he's been under. In general, in games where he's been under pressure he's been bad, and if not, he's been good. Pressure for a young QB isn't about play by play. If they are under pressure most of the time it leaks into their whole game.

Anyway, let's see where he's at with a competent staff, if the Bears can ever find one.

He’s saying the right things and the Bears put him in a system that doesn’t play to his strengths(unlike Nix or Daniels) but his woefully inaccurate deep ball is a big concern. He won’t be great until he fixes his accuracy issues. That’s the big concern. Sunday was encouraging though.

I actually agree.
I’ve seen this from Nix many times in college. Looks like the greatest QB in the country and then lays a turd and looks like a different guy the following week. He definitely had some zingers on Sunday vs a crappy Falcons road team. I can’t personally stand Payton but the guy can coach offense/QB’s. Waldron /Flus had zero experience with actually developing a rookie QB but of course these are the things clown organizations do.

How did you think he looked Sunday? What I saw was the first Bears QB to go toe to toe with the Packers in a long time and battled to the final play. He made clutch throw after clutch throw.

He put them into position to win just like he did against Washington and somehow the Bears blew it.
Coaching coaching coaching. A real coach has this team at 7-3 or better even with offensive line deficiencies.

Don’t forget Mariota. And don’t forget the Bears gave up a 1st round pick for a washed up bum in Rick Mirer(who made the all rookie team).

Considering the nightmare that the Bears are, I think he's doing fine. He's had ups and downs. it's almost like he's a rookie.

He looked pretty good on Sunday, and he was clutch af on that last drive. Too bad the Bears dumbfuck scared coach took the ball out of his hands with plenty of time to get more yardage to get a chipshot field goal. I have no doubt that he would have gotten them closer given the chance. That's a good feeling to think that about a QB. Haven't had that in a long time. And he protects the ball.

Nix is hitting momentum right now and has had 2 good weeks back 2 back. He’s looked like a rookie the rest of the time riding a great defense, no better than Caleb.
Jayden is coming back down to earth, still might be hurt some. And Still is the OROY...
Caleb looks like he’s catching some momentum too, obviously had horrendous coaching problems effecting the entire offenses ability to do anything. Arrows up again finally.
Maye is the biggest surprise to me. Dude just looks like he belongs, his OC has never been that good, his WR’s and OL combined are the worst of this bunch, but he keeps playing fairly well.

All these teams should still be happy they have their QB. I don’t see any that look like they don’t belong in the NFL, ala Lance/Wilson.

What I feel good about is the Bears finally have a QB with the balls to compete against the Packers. He was clutch all day and didn’t shrink in the 4th quarter. He did everything necessary to win that game other than kicking the final FG himself.

Most Bear QBs shrink against the Packers at kickoff.

I wonder if the league is doing their usual with Klingsbury. His offenses usually started to falter around this time in the past. But Maye easily has the least amount of help out of all of these guys.

Cutler beat them twice—in 2010 when they had 19 penalties and then again on Thanksgiving(?) in 2015. Trubisky beat them once. Grossman won 2 against them. I think Orton had 2 as well. They aren’t our rivals. We aren’t even a pesky fly to them.

OL was better this week too. Curious to see how they look with a new OC rest of season

His arm is simply not as advertised. Not only is his accuracy poor on deep balls, it’s poor everywhere. He struggles with the easy ones a lot. Lost in all that velocity changing and arm angle bullshit was that he kinda sucks at throwing the ball on target.

It’s a massive issue. He just doesn’t have the talent to play the position in the NFL. What the Bears did against the Packers to ride to even modest “success” is going to be quickly studied and countered by every subsequent opponent (including Green Bay later this year).

This I worry about. If the limitations are still there then teams will just scheme around it
