Since its seams to be around 35000 oncologyst in town for a convention at the same time as the SC-final the prices for hotelrooms for a week is sky high.

I found a page, www.fhbo.com, where you can rent a apartment for a week for much better rates then the hotels. I have sent requests to five different once without any answers so fare. Has anyone any experience about this site?

Any other good ideas to find a place to stay for a week downtown?

I checked priceline.com but since I dont have a US billing address that didnt work for me.
A site we have used several times in the past to rent condos in the city with very good luck is http://www.vrbo.com
I have used this same site for everything from renting a cabin in Wisconsin to renting a house in Sonoma. I also know people who have used it in Chicago, like IHF. We have had a great experience each time and definitely much more fun than staying in a hotel!

For a week there is nothing better then hanging on a condo pation overlooking the river or being downtown off Michigan in the summer and listening to world below with the windows open. Something you are not likely to get in any hotel!

There's nothing quite like leaving a hotel room in shambles... or pee'd all over. BeastKeeper, we're looking in your direction.
