Now being a die-hard 'Slapshot' fan - this reminds me of when Joe McGrath took the bus with the Chiefs to -well I forget where it was -- but he goes into the locker room -says the line: Ok, boys, let's really try to win this one tonight..." before going into an office and gets caught on the phone (by Ned Braden) trying to line himself up with another job (after the Chiefs fold). Ok- not exact - but yeh ... it does still sorta channel that scene.
