I saw this on my local news the other day. Wonder if they enough evidence to convict him. I know they have an unused train ticket or something, but I'm sure that alone won't seal the case.

You have an eyewitness - the girl who was there and got away. She also remembers the guy being called 'Johnny' and that's the real name of the accused before he changed it. Plus they showed her a photo of the guy and she confirmed that was him. He was the last one to see her alive, his alibi has been busted. And he's also had other problems with molesting others over the years. Guilty.

Hun, I'm not saying he's not guilty, I'm just saying they should have had the rest of that evidence back when it happened. If they had a eye witness they should have been able to discredit his alibi back then.

It was 54 years ago so who knows what the 'detective' methods were at that time. My understanding is the witness was never shown a photo until now. So it looks like it got botched even back then.

I can see the defense attorney tearing that witness apart on the stand. "What color shirt were you wearing?" "What color shirt was your friend wearing?" "You cant remember? How can you be sure this is the man you saw that day?," etc.
