So I think I'm going to buy an SUV.... or at least looking into it. Always driven a sedan before. I don't need some super luxury shit. Just something solid that will get me from A to B with minimal mechanic visits. 95% city driving. I would like 4WD. So far the Honda Pilot looks interesting. Land Rover LR2. Everything I've read says Jeeps are not dependable so those are out. I never buy new.... thinking something in the 2012-2016 year range. Any suggestions are welcome. Haven't driven anything yet. Thnx.

I'd say Toyota because those things are gr8 and drive forevs and my mechanic says he only works on them when they need new brakes. However, since I'm pretty sure you are a str8 up baller - VOLVO XC90. They even have one now that's halve electric with a v8. Great luxury SUV but not pricey like a Range...

Yes. I'm a truck guy. My Yukon was a very good suv. I like big vehicles but I'm a country boy

I have thought about it but have zero need to tow anything, and outside of the occasional client in the country down't need to go off paved road.

Srs. Just test drive dat Volvo. It's amazing. When my 2004 XC90 (over 175k miles) finally dies I'm getting another one unless my wife makes me get a truck...

Was thinking of test driving an S60 if I went for a sedan. Might as well try both.

Idk what your budget is or what size suv you want but there are great deals on GMC Acadia leases(at least in Michigan there are). I think I got my dad one for less then 250 a month. I got my sis a fully loaded enclave last December for 279 a month. Both are same size

I've been a huge fan of the Lexus RX series since basically 2000. Last 2 vehicles got into 6-figure mileage, reliable, minimal maintenance if you garage park them. Comfortable interior, nice enough to drive to client meetings, but priced more reasonable than the Benz/BMW equivalents, or lord help me the Porsche SUVs.

Literally every single suburban mom out here has one of those Lexus RXs, unless they have the audi version. HARD PASS ON THAT @babablacksheep

If they offered any extra warranty on the electronics i would strongly consider it . I have a 2014 Toyota, Tundra though , and in the last 4 months my radio head unit which covers back up camera all quit working. Just a few days ago my heater, air conditioner failed to work so i will need to get it to the shop before winter. Short story, i will never buy a tundra again, next truck Ford. Radio head unit is $ 600.00 and i dont know what its going to cost for the air conditioning heater problem. And i only have 60,000 miles on shit tundra.
