CNA reported that the pilot appeared to try to control the plane as it descended, but the aircraft's wing grazed the overpass, clipping a passing taxi.

Yes it hit that taxi.

I read an hour or two ago that the crew's last words indicated an engine flameout... which is actually a combustion failure, not a fire.

Not a confirmed report tho.

Yeah, I heard the "mayday" transmission on the news earlier, then they brought in an aviation expert to analyze the video/stills and he came to the conclusion that the left engine's props were not spinning even close to the rate of the other and thus it was a single engine failure.

Have to hand it to the pilot for not nailing that apartment complex though, that was way too fucking close.

They were watching the Bears defense on the cockpit TV..Hence the term "Flameout"
