Honestly, I hope bears draft @3rd. Williams and Maye go 1st and 2nd. MHJ with Carolina pick and then trade down our own 1st for a mod round and next year first.

Neither of those QBs are worth a premium pick for me

Not if Williams and MHJ go 1 and 2. Being in the #3 spot would absolutely suck.

I think the Patriots are taking whichever quarterback is available to them, Maye or Williams, but I don't see the Cardinals taking Maye over Kyler Murray, and I'm not sure they'd take Williams over Murray either.

If the order is NE, AZ, CHI, the Patriots would take Williams and the Cardinals would probably take MHJ.

If the order is AZ, NE, CHI, you'd hope the Cardinals take Williams, Patriots take Maye, and that leaves you with MHJ.

But, I could see AZ just taking MHJ at #1 or trading down a spot with N.E to do it at #2, which would leave the Bears in a bad spot.

MHJ should be a great player, but he's still just one player. Having a Megatron type is cool, but good WRs are found every year in the draft. If the Cards get a package similar to what the Bears got for a QB, or maybe something even better I don't think the choice to just rest on their laurels, go BPA, and ignore a lot of other capital is that easy to make.

So the Tankathon may depend on Baker Mayfield’s ankle. He finished this weeks game, but is scheduled for an MRI, and reports are he could barely walk after the game.

Bucs play the Panthers twice in the next 6 games and I think Kyle Trask (who’s not done shit in the NFL) is the backup.

With the Patriots schedule, they realistically only have one winnable game left and that is against the Jets the last game of the season. Maybe the Chargers next week if the Chargers keep finding a way to be mediocre. Other than that, pretty tough to find another win for the Pats.
The Pats will certainly go out of their way to lose that game to the Jets.

The Bucs defense is pretty stout. They should be able to hold the Panthers' terrible offense in check. Scoring on the Panthers decent defense with Trask in there could prove tough, but they have a lot more offensive talent than the Panthers do.

They’re 27th in yards per game.

Maserati Marv is much better than good.

They are really starting to fall apart. Bucs should have begun the tear down last year but they somehow thought Mayfield was a legitimate QB to get them to the playoffs.

Time to gut that roster and front office/coaching staff.

Hmm. The few times i've seen them they were playing well. Ah well, my bad. I still think they could beat up on the Panthers' offense though. Almost any defense can.

What do you think this trade haul is going to be that Arizona is going to get?

I would imagine the Bears in your scenario would trade the first overall pick for maybe the #4-6 pick plus a haul of later round picks to a team that’s going to take QB1, and you think Arizona is going to trade to some team, who would also be in preferably the top six no later than 12 plus what? What would make it worth passing up on their next Larry Fitzgerald.

If the Cardinals are trading the number two overall pick and MHJ is on the board, then the Bears should be on the phone with them.

Just like last year QBs likely go 1 and 2 IMO. The Cards traded 3 last year for a non QB and they got 12, 33, 2024 2nd and 2024 3rd. Given a team likely trades up for a QB, you probably get more for trading 2. So the Cards have already shown they are willing to trade down to get more picks as I think their GM wants to build out a full team not masturbate over one player.

It makes no sense for the Bears to inquire because teams wanting to trade up for a QB will likely offer more than a team moving up for a WR.

The best thing that can happen for the Bears is to get a king's ransom for a QB and get Marvin Harrison Jr. Get 1st round picks the next 2 years and with use the extra 1st this year on either the best pash rusher or OT as that is likely a top 10 pick as well. In the 3rd, go get a QB to sit and develop. Give Fields one more year whether you pick up the 5th year option or not.

If you want that to happen, you better hope the Panthers start winning some games. If the Bears get the number one pick, they are drafting a QB.

Bears still pick 1 and 4 but they’re close to potentially picking out of top 10.

Closing out on losing out on Marvin Harrison. Winning tonight’s game was pointless, ugh.

Yep, it is not even a conversation. If Bears get #1 pick, they will be drafting Caleb Williams. Fields is playing for his next team right now.

You know Caleb Williams has trouble fumbling the ball has well. He is also 6’0 tall. This Oline will kill him.

Yeah his fumbling is a concern. But Caleb played with a pretty crappy Oline, so at least he’ll be use to it.

NFL linemen can get you hurt. Look at Burrows, Murray, Rodgers, Cousins and Tua as examples.

Bad O line can regress a young QB. Look at Young rn. He is bad. Stroud had a pretty good Oline and coaching.
