Not surprised given they announced that there would be no big name acts this year.

Personally I've never found what the hoopla was all about with this event. I've been to it about 10 times over the years and really never thought it was anything more than a glorified picnic, walking around in the heat, with sweaty bodies, and overpriced food.

I'm laughing because I think this may be the only time I've ever agreed with you.

Is that the guy that sings Blue Velvet?

Yep. He did a lot of stuff. I was 13.

It used to be held at Navy Pier.

They held it a couple of places. Joe Walsh and Cheap Trick were at Soldiers.

The year of the green bug. I think I was 12.

I'm a big fan of the Courtyard Hounds... just didn't want to deal with the "Taste" to go see them. As much as I love the city - there are so many local fests I'd rather go to.

Last time I was there was 1994.

I thought it was okay. There's just so much more to do than the Taste if you have free time in Chicago.

Anyone remember Old Chicago?

It was an indoor amusement park in Romeoville.

When I was young, it was cool to ride a roller coaster indoors, but in reality, I believe it was a shithole.

Marriott's Great America killed it.

Really? I don't think Martie and Emily can pull it off without Natalie.

It's a great album... like a more mature version of the Wreckers

Old Chicago was awesome! They had all those stores (which slowly went out of bus) on the outside circle then the amusement park in the middle. The small roller coaster went to the ceiling.

To be honest, I have not listened to the whole album, but the songs I have heard I felt were very mediocre. I do like the Wreckers and have seen them perform live, but actually prefer Michelle Branch as a solo artist.

Sounds like my bedroom in August.
