Hey if he signs for 1M a year I'll take him. He had 30 points in 59 games. Won a cup, he might come off as a douche, but I bet he'd be a fine guy around our locker room, 3rd/4th line, I wouldn't argue with that. And 40 or not the guy has talent, awareness and knows how to win, 3 things our other signing which a few people have stiffy's about doesn't have.

In my book, he's as wanted as much as a Russian with the last name ending in -ov. Yeah, I hate Modano all that much.



I'm with TCD on this one. I'd puke if I see we're paying for Modano's services. I don't even care if he's doing it for free. I don't want him wearing the Indianhead.



But on the bright side, I don't think that Scooter is that stupid to even think about such a transaction, so we should be fine.

I really dont know how I feel about this one. Not a fan of his, but he may actually be the Vet presence they need to bolster the huge roster turn around that is still ongoing. Just a thought.

If he has gas left in the tank, then sign him at a cheap cost. If he's making around 1m and can manage 25-35 points, then it's worth it.

Chalk me up for someone that thinks it would be a great fit. He can play center or wing, can still skate, would come cheap....won a cup.



I think a great line would be - Modano - Sharp - Kane .....no doubt in my mind he could fill the role left by Versteeg at 1/3 of the cost. Prob not play the PK anymore ...but they could get 14-15min a game out of him, and about 40-45pts on that line.

I'd like the signing, although I'm not sure it really fills a need.



Funny though, Hawks trade Ladd and sign Modano, TCD might be ripping his chest hairs out one by one if this happens.
