Went to see Tedeschi Trucks at the Chicago Theatre on Saturday. He is a video I took of their take on Leon Russell's Song for You. Nice job by her and the piano player. Interestingly, I sat next to a couple that I sat next to last year. What are the chances of that happening

Close as you could get? Did you have to get seats close to the rest rooms due to your bladder issues?

Saw them at the Fox in Oakland recently, and also last tour. They recorded and filmed live at the show I attended last year, and that show blew away the recent one.

Did you also find last tour to be superior (in all ways) to the current?

I was very disappointed last night. Unlike a band that plays the same 20 songs every night like the Eagles, TTB works off of a set list of 300 songs. So if you go to their concert dont expect to hear any song as the show is different every night, much like the Greatful Dead

Last night was full of songs I have never heard, long flute and sax solos. It was almost an experimental set. I dont think the crowd reacted well. Their sets late last year were much better. I'm betting the band doesnt care what I think

There is nothing cringier than when a crowd isnt into it for whatever reason. If really pisses me off when someone who is into the band/act/team doesnt show love when love is due.

It was a weird atmosphere. First, the crowd wasnt getting what they expected. Second, it's a 12 piece band and various singers and brass section kept leaving the stage when they werent involved in a song. They regularly do this but last night it was constant. Third, Derrick Trucks, who is recognized as the top slide guitrist in the world, seemed disengaged. Normally, he stays in the background and off to the side, but last night he had his back turned to the audience and was more engaged with the drummers and bass player. It was just a weird night
