This is the absolute worst "bourbon" i have ever had. I'm a big fan of cheap bourbon because it's fucking bourbon, and I've had many a brand that is decent and rivals top shelf stuff. But this is an abomination. I looked at the label today and discovered it's "a blend." WTF? It's got whiskey from California in it. It tastes like bourbon mixed with Canadian whiskey (and i don't hate flappy heads, but the whiskey from there has a pretty distinct "bite" to it) and this shit rocks your brain and gut in a bad way. On another note, Benchmark is pretty decent for 8.99 a fifth, from the Buffalo Trace distillery...

With the exception of about 6 years in the mid 80s. I dont drink. I had one 7-7 at my daughters wedding 4 years ago and a margarita around 1992. I have bottles of hard liquor and wine in my house for 20 years that have never been opened.

I just started drinking every other weekend or so. Any reason why you don't? Just don't like it?

I grew up in a hard drinking German family. Always 15-30 people in our house very weekend. Even my aunts were pounding down the beers at 8:00am. While all those adults drank heavily none of their kids did. Guees it was just me trying to be different than the adults. Plus I just dont like the taste.

In the 80s I was newly divorced and chasing women for a 6-8 year period I was out every night and started drinking the long island Iced Teas. Some night chugging them. That was when I hung out in Payton's bars every night. I would get plastered and chicks I met or knew would be all over me but I was too drunk to do anything. Have a few weird stories. But once that running around thing was over and met my future wife it all kinda stopped.

I got ya. I never got drunk til this year to be honest. Wasn't an age thing or anything. Just always hated the taste and didn't really care to drink. Started getting drunk with friends with captain and coke, then I tried drinking some beer again and was like eh not bad. A lot of my friends drink every weekend and even weekdays but I'm not cut out for that. I'll drink a few times a month, if that.

I am a Makers Mark guy and there are other whiskeys I like ok but I always go back. If you are into cheap bourbon you may want to try Watkins? I thought it tasted like soap but it has won a ton of awards, some people I know like it, and it's cheap cheap cheap.
