What is your favorite memory or two from it?

For me, I was at a church function for Game 4. I remember asking each person that came to my booth what the score was. I was all ear to ear with my smile. When I got to work the next day my co-worker knew that I wouldn't catch the game recorded it to DVD for me. That was really cool for him to do for me.

Immediately called two of my closest friends that were Sox fans that were away at a different college, sharing in the disbelief at what had just occurred. It all happened so fast, I barely had the time to take it in.

I took to the streets of Archer Ave on the Southside. Just like when the Bulls won their championships.

My biggest memory of that whole run was staying up waaaay too late watching Game 3 instead of studying for a calculus test the following morning. I failed that test.

Worth it.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Army Black Knights
I was in the Army, stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado at the time. Got back home after having to stay late to help prepare and pack for our brigade's deployment to Iraq, got some low fat meat and cheese at the Commissary, then went to my barracks room and watched the magic unfold. After Dye drove in Willie nerves and asshole tightened. My best bud and roommate heard me screaming in disbelief and ecstasy after the game ended. It wasn't as great a moment as getting meeting and marrying my wife or graduating college, but that was one of the best experiences of my life. Freddy pitched the game of his life.

Watching this YouTube vid now. Even Joe Buck and Tim McCarver couldn't ruin the moment. If I was in Chicago or had a laptop at the time at the time I could have listened to Rooney and Farmer. I settled on Jon Miller and Joe Morgan (Colorado Springs' sports radio station at the time had ESPN Radio's national broadcast).

I went to the parade, that was pretty cool. I cheered for the Sox because that was when I was still young and didn't know how obnoxious my friends would grow up to be about it

99-63 and only 1 loss in the playoffs. Swept the defending champs in the Red Sox in the ALDS.

They were also in first the entire season. I feel pretty good calling the 2005 White Sox one of the all time teams. Certainly their playoff run was a top three ever.

Yep. Then they went out and got Thome and I really thought a dynasty was in the making. How little I knew:(
