First home game after a long road trip can be difficult, but hope the team is ready. Keep the streak alive, especially now that the Blows lost again.

I looked up the major road trips since the Hawks have had Toews/Kane, and it seems that they've fared quite well.

Each of these results are the first home game back from each respective trip.

Circus Trip:

2012 - no trip

2011 L PHX 4-1

2010 W STL 7-5

2009 W CLB 4-3

2008 W ANA 4-2

2007 W TB 5-1

Ice Capades/Wirtz on Ice

2013 L ANA 3-2 (SO)

2012 W STL 3-1

2011 W MIN 3-1

2010 L STL 3-2

2009 W DAL 6-2

2008 W COL 2-1

I believe WWW & company signed a 20 year deal with the circus when the UC opened. Wondering if that deal will be terminated when it's up soon. Is the circus still popular?

I hope so. Let them do it in Rosemont or wherever the Wolves play. Ditto on the Ice Follies/Ice Capades.

Onto the game...I'm hoping for another strong performance by everyone. The whole team has been looking good and I hope it keeps up.

Not so fast, the Circus is already in Rosemont for a week before it goes to the UC. I was at the one in Rosemont a month ago, it was sweet...needless to say, the UC is the venue where they get the biggest draw and I do not see either party wanting to split.

Also, every NHL team goes on an extended road trip. To me it is the best thing for a team, starting on the road last year was huge IMO. Whether its the circus or lady gaga occupying the UC, the team needs to be tested and show what they are made of. After this one, we know a whole lot more about our team.

I did not know that. I thought it was sometrhing like the Rolling Stone concert last summer that screwed with the playoff schedule. My opinion on that is Screw Mick Jagger for the Dancin' in the Street video--he oews us for that. :)

Of course, Hockey being my favorite sport, everything else should bow to it. :)

Yea I didn't know that the circus was at the Allstate before the UC either until I was there. Circus was pretty insane, now I know why my mind was blown as a kid.

So is it going to be one of these games where the Hawks shoot a billion times and get the same amount of goals as the opponent gets on 10 shots? First goal was on Crawford, screened maybe, but should have had it. .600 sv%

::ENTERS REX MODE::

What are you talking about? No goals this season have been Crawford's fault.

Despite outshooting Dallas, they have all been weak attempts from the outside. No one is screening Lehtonen or causing havoc in front. Simplify the game, less fancy shit that don't work.

Man this Dallas team....I am glad I am not a Stars fan. Very little talent on the roster outside of a few players.
