Hawks are rested with 3 full days with no game. Don't they usually suck on day games?

Either way... Ovechkin is heating up offensively and the Caps always play physical and hit hard.

If the Hawks can match the intensity in the Caps building I think they win a 1 goal game.

I figured I'd take full advantage of the loser point!

Let's say they did have 76 otl's and 6 wins = 88 pts...that would put them in the Eastern Conf playoffs!

This one really feels like a one point game for the Hawks. To me

Meh... Not really worried, but it's also not a great time to go on a three-game losing streak. With the Sharks, Stars and Coyotes coming up, there's no easy relief in sight. That first period egg against the Panthers stings a bit more now...

Toews tied his career high for points today at 69. He's now tied with Kopitar and Zetterberg for seventh in the league in scoring.

Got a point we didnt deserve gotta be happy with that. Leddy had his best game as a hawk IMO. Hopefully Campbell is ok although I would imagine he won't play tomorrow.

Lackluster performance again. Lucky to get a point. Any news on Campbell who only played 7 mins, the "lower-body" injury acting up again or what? Hawks need to get their collective asses in gear again or they'll find themselves outside looking in again. With how tight the standings are and they squandering so many games early in the year there is little margin for error at this stage.

Doom and gloom! They're probably going to lose to Nashville in the 1st round IF they even get there.

JK

Washington has just been playing awesome I didn't even think they would get a point out of this one so at least it exceeded my expectations. Crawford had an AWESOME game.

Still not worried about GETTING to the playoffs. Once you're there, everyone's record is 0-0.

I am not saying they are going to miss the playoffs, but they are making it really difficult for themselves if they keep this sort of effort up. And I expect some sort of urgency from them considering that they are in a race to secure a playoff spot. The PK was shit, but that's expected and the PP finally got a goal but allowed a shortie too.

really? i am a huge leddy fan and fully support the kid but i thought he had a rough game myself. funny how we fans see things differently. i am not saying you are wrong maybe he did have a great game but i saw mistake after mistake and some poor positioining from him today. i also saw him show frustration in himself a few times.

anyways...hawks got schooled today in the passing game. but i did love their effort. seabs was great today shadowing ovechkin. caps look great right now. such a different team than a year ago. they will be a tough team to beat in the playoffs if they stick with the new system there.

so glad we got the single point. tomorrow we need to get 2. then ohhhhhh the games against dallas and the yotes will be the games that decide this teams playoffs hopes.

p.s. keith has to take the shot in ot and not pinch in so far and get trapped by a poor puck decision. hawks never regrouped after that play and the caps pounced on it. you could smell that game winning goal develop.

I dont know what to say....

Bad game? Hawks were all over the hottest team in the league - on the road - and a shitty goal allowed by Crawford ties it. Yea...shitty goal if a 4th liner scores on a slapshot with no screen, tip, drag and shoot, etc. Crawford needs to stop that.

The Hawks puck possesion was very good, and they played only 5 dmen. 4 for a stretch when Seabrook got in his fight. Even to start the third, Hawks were all over them and they score on one shot to take the lead. He needs to smother that OT goal as well. I wasnt too impressed with Crow's game today at all. Needs to be better for a road game when the team played pretty good in front of him. WASH is playing more defensively and good for them. It limits chances for the other team, but very good point for the Hawks. They deserved that.

Frolik looked good...the Dgoup showed some guts, I'm liking Campoli more and more. 2 really good pickups and both seem to be getting more comfortable in the system.

craw made some pretty huge saves today pmx. im not sure if he played as poor as you are making it out to be. was it his best game? not by a long shot but it was from his worst.

this is shaping up to be one of those games where i think we all saw a few things differently. or maybe i was just watching a different game this morning. 9:30 am is not a time to be watching a quick game like hockey.
