Nope. If STL wins, the Cubs are eliminated. If LA beats STL, Cubs stay alive for another day.

Oh I see what you're saying. Basically if LAD wins tonight, they delay the inevitable. Cubs are definitely eliminated on Friday.

Like I said, you gotta say I guess it is possible that every game teh Cards and DOdgers play from here on out gets rained out which means it's possible. But if you eliminate that possibility then the Cubs are already eliminated. Kinda like a loop hole if you will in the whole Magic Number thing.

It's the magic number. They're essentially eliminated, just the math says either the Cubs have to lose one or the Cardinals have to win one to make it official. Trust me, the Cubs are out regardless :lol:

Yeah but that could have been said a while ago. Matehmatically they are already eliminated since they can't do anything to win a playoff spot.
