Thanks Hawks

Let me thank the Hawks for not only playing through many adversities through out the season but more so for showing heart and hard work in the playoffs.

Coming back from 0-3 to almost winning the Series in OT in game #7 was just short of remarkable.

Take a long season of rest and come back next year with Fire. No doubt this team will have some money and be better for another great run.

To all of IHN it's been a strange year after winning the Cup but thanks to each and EVERYONE of you for being the great fans you are. It's something always about winning and losing, but sometimes it's just about cheering and rooting on your team. Win or lose we are all Chicago Blackhawk fans and for the 4th straight season have had something to Cheer for late into the season.

2009-2010 Stanley Cup Champs.

Bravo all the way around. Class, heart, never quitting, true grit was shown from this team. Starting with our captain down to guys who only played 7 games this season. Thanks to the fans on here who recognized 1 game at a time when down 3-0, those who didn't, now you know better?

Keep playing like the last 3 years and our franchise can start to set examples for sorry places like Vancouver. You don't need to whine, show respect when you lose, and especially when you win. Toews should be an example for every ****** on earth, one of the greatest players on the planet, won all the trophies players could want, all the money etc... and you would only know it if you asked him.

As much as we hate Detroit, they have set a standard for the latest great teams. The franchise, not the fans.

even after the last few years, i've hated the wangs more. maybe it's just cause i'm from michigan and it's all i ever hear about. but after this series....boy the gap between the two teams has become close. nucks are garbage, the whole org to its fans to its writers.

hard for me to wrap my head around. i wont be sad to see the wangs eliminate the nucks if it happened.

I realized the other day I don't hate the red wings, I hate losing to the red wings. The nucks, I flat out fucking hate those motherfuckers

If you would have made a fictional movie about this series, you would hate it because it would be so unrealistic and Hollywood. You cant write this kind of shit...

They finished like warriors, even when Van gave them everything they had, they never just rolled over. If you have to lose, lose in a game 7 2 - 1 in OT.

And we all knew a season like this was coming after touching the Cup.

Now? Lets iron out a roster for next year... <cough>NaturalCentersNowPlease<cough>

Awfully, awfully proud of our boys. Thanks for making the last week interesting and fun. So much more heart and class than those dickheads. Last year can never be taken away and these last few nights have proven that there will be more parades in our future.

Gosh darn privileged to be a Blackhawks fan is how I feel this morning....what an exciting roller coaster series. Toews has more class in his little toe than the entire Nuck organ-i-zation. And he has more talent and heart than their whole team.

Future looks bright starting between the pipes and on up the ice (with a few moves)....

Always proud to be a Hawk fan. It really isn't as much if you win or lose, but how you play the game. They always play with integrity and class. Thanks to all for the great season.

Great season Hawks. Way to make those Nucks sweat. You'll be back in a big way next season.

Alot of heart, class and character shown by this entire team - players to the coaches. Always taking the high road though alot of adversity. You can tell quite a bit about a player/team when times are tough....and they were all year for these guys...and they always played through it.

Toews said it in one of his interviews - during the season and in the playoffs, players had to play alot of different roles, ice times were changed alot, and no one bitched/complained...they wanted to do what it took for the team.

Kudos to all the new guys to come in and follow the leadership on this team.

I would compare it to The Karate Kid... except in this case, Johnny and the evil Cobra Kai emerged victorious... for now...

Our Hawks will rest up, get healthy, and come back for vengeance next year with visions of douchey Sedin & Bieksa quotes in their heads. Anyone else think Kesler may secretly want to be a Hawk? Kudos to him for handling his interviews with class post-game.

To echo other sentiments, they showed a lot of character and heart through the adversity of the season and especially these playoffs. Going down 0-3 was the epitome of a gut check and the team responded like the champs they are. I feel fortunate to be a fan of this team. Not only have we already been spoiled, but the future continues to be bright.

Thank you to the Hawks!

This team displayed amazing grace under pressure these last four games. Win or lose, this team has class (and heart & character as a previous poster noted). The Hawks future looks very bright.

Awesome posts by everyone. I really wish the players would read a thread like this and see how the real fans feel about their team and not what the media says or all of the bandwagoners say.

Really great stuff everyone!

I am not disappointed. We took the best team in the regular season to OT in game 7. Also, technically, we won that game in regulation, our first goal got waived off
