you worked in a kitchen? So did i when I was 14; and that is compelling. But anyone who lives in chicago should protest its horrible misrepresentation our city (and its actors occasionally faking chicago
Accents)

OMG...thank you OP!

I watched about 15 minutes. There was a Kuma's Korner-esque line for Italian beef sandwiches. You can buy one of those things every fifty feet in this town. Ain't no one waiting nowhere for at least a half hour for a beef sandwich.

People waiting in line get restless and a employee comes out and fires a gun in the air to calm the herd like he is working a ranch in Oklahoma and not a freaking Italian beef spot on Division Ave.

Oh and everyone just stays in line while looking down at their feet like they had just been scolded by grandma and not had a gun pulled on them by some loser that works at a freaking Italian beef spot on Division Ave.

Toss in the lead actor being my least favorite member of the Gallagher family and I could not even finish the episode.

Negative Three Stars

if you are gonna do chicago porn, do it right, right? I hated the american version of ‘shameless’ for the same reason. It’s all just cliches and stereotypes

@tardigrade you should hear what my brother inlaw (Firefighter/Paramedic) says about Chicago Fire/Med.

I was once stopped by a production assistant on my way to work in downtown Chicago.

I had my earbuds in, and took one out.

The guy says something about how no one can cross the street here right now.

I looked for a badge, or Cops nearby, or literally any reason why this person was preventing me from continuing on my way to work.

I found absolutely no reason.

I put my earbud back in and physically forced my way past this dude.

The power trip bullshit of covid started way before covid.

Yo @Ares tell us what he said about Fire.

If you've ever seen a person who can't even, das him if you bring it up lol.

Big ass fireman sounding like that old lady in the commercial:

"That's not how this works.... that's not how any of this works!"

They also used to shut shit down for filming Law and Order where I lived in New York and try to stop me from walking home to my apartment. I would just tell them I have Jack McCoy on speed dial and keep walking

What did he say after you hit him?

Dunno, I just kinda shoulder barged my way thru the twerp and I had earbuds back in.

The only other time after that I took my earbud out for someone I didn't know, it was some dude who was mad I stepped on the back of his foot on the sidewalk.

I took the earbud out, didn't hear what he said, and said "I'm sorry?"

He replied "You're darn right you're sorry!"

And I immediately replied "Oh go **** yourself."

He got all riled up, talking shit while walking in front of me, which was an odd move.

A lady walking next to him asked him what I'd said and he goes "He told me to go **** myself."

I almost lol'd too hard, who tf repeats that?

He kept talking shit, walking faster, eventually he split off and I gave him one more "Go **** yourself." for the road.

He flipped me off while heading down the escalator.

You get two versions of me:

1. You held up your end of the Social Contract, so I'm quite polite and considerate towards you.
2. You didn't, so you can go **** yourself.

People walk around this world with a "**** everybody else" attitude, but they get pissed when you challenge them to back it up.
