I completely... disagree lol. Many will claim how 18 penalties killed the Packers, Lions 'unfair' ruling, and many other statistical facts. I however refuse to base how good or bad a Team is on their record. The Bills and even Lions are a prime example. They are not a talentless team. But I would say they got no luck finishing a game. At the end of the day, a Win is a Win. How its accomplished is irrelevant in that regard. Regardless to critics, we're not Elite, we got issues, but still 9-4, with a chance..

Not even reading the article. We have 9 quality wins, b/c they all count towards the record.

Stupid article. The Bears have only played 4 "quality" teams (if you look solely at wins and losses, which I don't agree with). They beat the Packers and Eagles and lost to the Giants and Patriots. So they are 2-2 against quality teams. That puts them right in the middle among quality teams. Therefore they are a quality team.

What the article doesn't take into account, is the fact that this is a much different team than the team that started the season. Depending on improvement or injuries, they may be a much different team when the playoffs start a month from now, than they are now. The other teams that make the playoffs may be much different, too. You can't yet assume they will get killed in the playoffs.

Caribbean, did you write this? :)

Huh? If anything, the lack of injuries to the Bears has been a godsend, and is probably the #1 reason why they have done so well this year. The fact that the Bears have almost all the same players as they had at the beginning of the season is a big advantage the Bears have over the Lions, Packers, and Vikes.

Exactly. They have had most of a season to work together and have made adjustments in their offensive scheme. The O-line, while still inadequate Is injury free now and has improved a little since the Giants game. The fact that other teams have had injuries may have helped them win a game or two, but that has no bearing on how they will do in the playoffs (if they make the playoffs). You play with the players you have.

do you work for Lovie?

No, I do not. Is he hiring? I would love to work in the Bears organization. They are my favorite team! :)

This article is correct. Judging how well a team will do in the playoffs based on their record doesn't make any sense.

If you got a job with Lovie you'd have a very short career working for the Bears.

did anyone know at the beginning of the season Dallas was gonna have a melt down? The Packers aren't living up to the hype..and those alot of those 18 penalties were holding calls cause Peppers was blowing up. Did we get a pass last year cause Jay threw 6 picks against them? Nope. Name the quality team GB has beaten? NYJ??? really?

Elaborate on this. They wouldn't be 9-4 if they couldn't finish games.

My guess would be the fact we havent blown anyone out this year is what he means by that.

They can finish. They managed to beat the Bills eventually.

The same can be said about the Jets, Ravens and Packers. Who gives a shit? The bears are playing with a high school OL. Nothing has come easy.

Going by this story's logic, then the Bears should get credit for at least 2 wins for beating the Eagles.

Philly was the hottest team in the league, with the hottest player in the league, and everyone had them crowned as Super Bowl champs.

Then they came to Soldier Field.

Who had the Eagles crowned as Super Bowl champs?

Slight exaggeration? Possibly. But the point was, they were everyone's favorite team after that MNF game against the Skins, and then the Bears stopped a lot of that talk. So if you're saying that the Bears got "bad" wins against lesser opponents, then that win deserves more credit.

Yes, because I'm such a big Eagles fan I guess. What the hell?
