I honestly think that Daniel "Carbomb" Carcillo is going to be one of those athletes in Chicago who went from "villian" on another team to "beloved" on our team.
Think AJ Pierzynski and Dennis Rodman but NHL-style.
An article in today's trib shows that he respects what it means to be a Blackhawk and to put that original six indianhead sweater on.
He also seems to like the city and the reception he's been getting thus far and wants to work his ass off for the team and the city:

This kid can be big for us if he keeps his nose clean and busts his ass for us every game. We already know he isn't afraid to do the dirty work and get into some scraps...those things are what can make a player become beloved in Chicago.

To put a jersey like that on for a team that has been around for so long with so much history, and obviously a winning organization, is a pretty special honor," Carcillo said following the Hawks' 4-1 defeat at CONSOL Energy Center. "Playing for any NHL team is pretty special but it just gives you a little kick in the butt every night to perform because you look at the organization and the players who have played here. You want to do it right and kind of give them their justice."
"Everyone knows my reputation and it overshadows my talents at times," said Carcillo, who stayed out of the penalty box against the Penguins. "That's partly my fault. It's something I've been working on throughout the years and I think I've matured as a player. I just want to be the most complete player I can be and help the team win."
The city has been amazing," he said. "It has been a warm reception. I feel welcome and wanted here. When that happens, you want to work as hard as you can."
