What about 1871, (Didn't play 1872-1873, but remained an organized club, but had no field with the Great Chicago Fire burning theirs down), and 1874-1875 in the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players? Or 1870 (their first season), when they won the pennant of the National Association of Base Ball Players (only professional clubs eligible for the championship or counted in standings since the professional class was accepted in 1869)?
