Despite all odds, he's actually been hitting better this month than last!

CASTRO! Go for 3! Yes! 5-1!

Here is the thread to discuss how Barney has come out of nowhere to be this good and his Rookie of the Year chances. Also, what does his success say about out farm system?

I will post my thoughts later.

He does make me feel a bit better about having traded Hak-Ju Lee in the off-season.

This is the most ridiculous thread ever. It's the middle of May and you're already calling for Rookie of the Year? Let's see if he's still batting .300 come late July, then we'll talk.

But yes, that bubble blowing, smug bastard's doing well so far. :shifty:

I said "chances". He has a good shot. There are no Heywards or Poseys so far thid year when it comes to rookies.

He's got a shot, but lets see how he does over the course of a full season. Would like to see a little more walking from him, but if he can keep his K% are 8 or 9 I can deal with a 3% walk rate.

Right now he is behind Brandon Beachy though. Probably second, unless Wilson Ramos keeps it up.
