Bears dont need another guard at #10

Mel Kiper's latest mock also has him dropping all the way to #31.

Out of all the "tackle" prospects he impresses me the least. Id rather trade down and draft simmons
Banks I feel would be a really safe pick. I think he has the necessary length to play tackle in the NFL but for some reason I can't get fully on board with him.

He's been my go to guy pretty much this whole process. He has the necessary measurements, some production (unlike Shemar Stewart) but still plenty more room to grow because the UGA defense doesn't free their DL to penetrate.

I'm not even sure Jeanty is truly worth a top ten pick. Definitely don't think Hampton is.

This is a really, really deep RB draft. Wouldn't this be a poor allocation of high draft capital?

Imagine how good the lions would have been if they drafted Carter and Jaxon Smith Njigba instead of Gibbs and a off ball linebacker who cant defend the pass.

Get a great OL and any RB can be good. Even that rando craig reynolds on the lions averaged 4.5 yards a carry

I was terrified Detroit would pair Carter with Hutchinson that draft. So happy they didn't.

Brett Kollman had a good quote about the running game that I thought was very well-stated. He said, "the OL sets the floor of the running game, the RB sets the ceiling."

It makes a lot of sense. Teams like Philly and Baltimore rolled out random running backs for years and still dominated because their lines were great. Barkley and Henry took them to another level but I think this proves you don't need a great RB to be successful and dominate.

Just think taking arguably the 4th best tackle prospect in the draft at #10 seems like a reach

I don’t think he’s the 4th best. He started 3 seasons at a top school. Actually played LT and has acceptable measurements. And he’s healthy. This reeks of media overthinking things to me
