the Great Fear is that the Bulls won't be able to keep Derrick Rose because of the CBA. No one is discussing this, simply because, no one wants to think about losing Derrick Rose.

Within the next couple months, everyone will be talking about this, and fearing the worst.
You didn't hear it from me.

We won't lose Rose.

He's still under his rookie contract, so he'll be safe next season. IF the NBA switched to the hard-cap, then we have to look at a few options. First, we try clearing cap space to give him an extension. If that's not enough, we ask Noah, Boozer, and Deng to take a little pay-cut. they'll probably do it so we can keep Rose.

If all that fails, the Bulls would just cut either Boozer, Noah or Deng. Probably Boozer.

The Bulls will make sure Rose stays.

I think Heat fans should be the ones getting scared.

LBJ, Wade, and Bosh already took a pretty big paycut to team up together. If the NBA switches to a hard-cap, they might have to take another paycut [probably a big one], or the Heat would have to trade one of them.

Same with the Lakers. A lot of huge contracts on that team. Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum.
