I've wondered this too, but haven't heard anything about it. Like an open world game based in Hogwarts or something? I'm not sure how it'd work. I just don't know if there's enough lore for a big Harry Potter open world game. It works for LOTR because Tolkein has a huge backstory for everything and a huge world. With HP I guess you could go back in history to when the school was founded, or have it take place when James and Lily were in school. Or not even based in the school. I don't know, hard for me to imagine ideas for it.
I'm surprised they didn't do a turn based Harry Potter game. Something like Final Fantasy, or a better comparison, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age.
Not really open in the sense that you can go wherever, but the maps are supposed to be huge, so it might feel like an open world game. I'm not sure a Middle Earth open world game could work on consoles because it's just too huge. War in the North takes place only in the northern region of Middle Earth (Arnor, Rivendell, Fornost, those areas). I know before EA lost the LOTR license, they were working on a game called "The White Council" and it was supposed to be a open world game I believe. Who knows what Warner Bros. will do with the license now that they have it. They've had Lord of the Rings Online out for a while, and last year did Aragorn's Quest.wait...is the new LOTR game a open world? It must be huge!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking of making one last Harry Potter game, open world (the burrow, hogwarts, hogsmeade, etc included) and be focused on their kids when they go to school
A 100% open FULL middle earth game would be absolutely sweet! Not really open in the sense that you can go wherever, but the maps are supposed to be huge, so it might feel like an open world game. I'd love something like that. I remember Order of the Phoenix was kind of an open campus game. You couldn't go everywhere, but you could explore a lot of the castle.
"Iron Wolf" sounds alot like it would have to do with Nazi's and WWII, which I hope is true because I <3 WW2 gamesGoogle Translate
Translated article, but here's the short version. Two guys have some Treyarch developers on their xbox friends list. These developers were playing a game called "Iron Wolf", which is most likely a codename for whatever game they're working on. Easy to assume this is their next Call of Duty game.
