Big one for me is cooking a pot of pasta to realize i have no pasta sauce, or sausage.

The worst thing is when you make a bowl of cereal, pour it in, get the spoon and no milk. Kind of like what WC said but it's different just "knowing you don't have milk" and actually performing all the necessary steps for preparation.
