Both of these teams are going to lose their best pitcher in the offseason. Which makes this game even more intense. I wouldn't be surprised to see both these teams back, but I doubt either do.

You misunderstood me. Yes of course, he's da man and I would take him any day. But he has to be so fucking frustrated, he can never win in the playoffs with the A's. That's why I said he should hang it up (as in retire). He has to be beyond fucking frustrated.

He's always wanted to win in Oakland but that window is definitely closed now. Lost a lot of assets this year without any big prospects to replace them and as we all know, they don't spend in FA. Cespedes, Lester, Russell, and even Hammel. Wouldn't be surprised if they tried to trade Samardzija this offseason
