I'm no expert on the Patriot Act (not a fan of it either) but maybe some of the things contained in it allowed this to happen?  Anyone know?</p>

Look up the "Truth Database". No shit it's a real government program, they paid an Indiana University professor $900k to develop a program that logs your information if you post on twitter anything the government decides is "mis-information or hate speech". On twitter. Yes, that twitter. I've already had one fake account banned, I created a Bernie Sanders 16 account for his presidential run and it was banned in less than 24 hours which really sacked because I was going to create a fake Hillary 16 account and have them fight it out on twitter which would have been a blast.
