Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks for doing what many thought was unthinkable in beating the Miami Heat and their Big 3 in the NBA Finals. I couldn't be happier for Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Terry, Jason Kidd and the rest of the team for working hard all season long and accomplishing their goal of becoming world champions in basketball.

At the end of the day, a TEAM is what it takes to win a championship. Maybe now Miami will realize that....oh wait, no they won't. :smug:

Congratulations to the 2010-2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks. Couldn't be happier for this group of guys.

Congrats to Dallas! I gotta admit though at the beginning of the playoffs they weren't real high on my list of teams I would like to see win it all lol

I'll say it in this thread too. Tyson Chandler is the reason the Mavs made the leap to title contender.

My only beef with him is...why couldn't he have been good here? :sigh:

He even learned how to shoot free throws...amazing staff they must have there in Dallas. xD

Yeah, he was shooting 85% from the line at one point this year... and I nearly died the first time I saw him knock down an 18-ft jump-shot.

I really have to hand it to him and the coaching staff though, his shot is actually fluid and stuff. It's insane...

Actually, I read somewhere (SI I think) that in high school, he would take jumpers or whatever he wanted just because he dominated so much and that he actually came to the Bulls with a mid range jumpshot. Naturally, I don't think we ever saw him with a shot outside of the dunk while he was here...xD

congrats Mavs, thanks for giving us fans a champion that doesnt play in Boston, LA or especially Miami. My wife and I am also very grateful to the entire team for the complete master bathroom remodel that your efforts have paid for via some friendly wagering done on my part....
